About the role
Plains All American is seeking a Human Resources Intern for an 8-month, full-time term beginning August 31, 2026. This role is based in our Calgary office and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by supporting HR operations for our Canadian and US teams. You will work alongside professionals to bridge the gap between academic studies and real-world application in the oil and gas industry.
What you'll do
Assist the Talent Acquisition team with intern recruitment, including screening resumes and scheduling interviews.
Manage end-to-end Contingent Workforce lifecycle transactions within Workday, such as onboarding and offboarding.
Monitor the Contingent Workforce mailbox to respond to inquiries from leaders, vendors, and workers.
Support reporting activities to ensure data integrity and perform necessary follow-ups.
Assist with HR payroll tasks, including manual entries, validation, and responding to pay-related inquiries.
Coordinate logistics for the intern program and events.
Complete and present assigned projects that showcase your contributions and learning.
What you'll need
Current enrollment as a third or fourth-year student in a full-time post-secondary program.
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CoPilot AI, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous entry-level work experience in customer service or a relevant internship is an asset.

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Modality: On-site at our downtown office.
Term: Summer 2026 start (August 31, 2026) for an 8-month duration.
Status: Paid, full-time internship.
Requirements: Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada. This position does not offer employment-based visa sponsorship. You must be willing to relocate to Calgary for the duration of the term.
