<p>Conducts learning investigations for accidents, incidents, instances of non-compliances and near-misses, and provides insights into the root causes and contributing factors, as well as recommendations to prevent re-occurrence. Supports the ASAP programs with investigations and provide briefings to the ASAP ERC of investigative findings and recommendations. Collaborating with operational leaders and union safety representatives to gain knowledge and insights. Act as a trusted partner who is skilled in interviewing to encourage team members to be forthcoming about what happened and why and to partner in solutions and improvements. Considers human and organizational factors to ensure that investigations reveal the cause(s) and contributing factors. Ensures investigation reports are meaningful, technically sound, and action orientated and are completed in a timely manner. Uses the results of these investigations to partner with Safety Assurance, the Operations, and other stakeholders to drive corrective actions that effectively reduce the risk of incident recurrence.
